Your Legacy Through Planned Giving

With a planned gift, you can leave a legacy that transforms lives into the future.

What is a planned gift?
A planned gift, or legacy gift, is a donation that is intentionally arranged for the future. This could mean:
• Making a bequest in your will or trust
• Naming People’s Self-Help Housing as a beneficiary in your retirement or life insurance plans
• Setting up a charitable annuity or other giving vehicle

Whether your gift comes after retirement, from a financial windfall, or as part of your estate plan, you can be assured it will be impactful and deeply meaningful for generations to come.

How to include People’s Self-Help Housing in your will or trust:
If you are considering a legacy gift, here is sample language you can share with your estate planning attorney:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to People’s Self-Help Housing Corporation, a nonprofit organization located at 1060 Kendall Road, San Luis Obispo, California 93401 (Tax ID: 95-2750154), the sum of $___ (or ___% of my estate, or the residue of my estate) for its general charitable purposes.”
