Dieter Eckert, M.D.

Dr. Eckert is a retired physician who has spent his career working as a diagnostic radiologist at multiple hospitals in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County. After graduating from Stanford University School of Medicine, he helped to set up the hospital departments in the rapidly advancing technical field of medical diagnostic imaging.

He has served on the Board of Directors of People’s Self-Help Housing since 1985 including many years as president of the Board during its early history. He and his wife and family currently live on a walnut ranch in Paso Robles, where he enjoys farming, swimming, and flying.
