Joanna Dominguez

Director of Education

As the Director of Education, Joanna heads Camino Scholars which consists of K-8, College Club, CELEBRE, and adult education programming. Overseeing 11 learning centers, in three counties, she leads a team of 20 educators.

Originally joining PSHH in 2018 as the Regional Coordinator for San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara County’s learning centers and heading up the CELEBRE program, she was soon promoted to Senior Education Manager and later to the Director of Education. Joanna has been distinguished nationally for her leadership and team-building ability and brings 20+ years of experience working compassionately with people in motivating them towards achieving their educational goals.

Born in Yuma, Arizona to Mexican migrant farm workers, she came to the Central Coast as a child and grew up in Guadalupe, CA. Joanna is a first-generation college graduate earning her undergraduate and master’s degree in Psychology graduating Summa Cum Laude. She has deep local roots, vast community connections, and a genuine understanding of the local community needs. Joanna enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, traveling, jogging and focusing on her personal development.
