Peoples' Self-Help Housing makes Pre-Application Packets available
for 33 New Self-Help Homes in Templeton, April 3rd and 4th

Peoples' Self-Help Housing Corporation announces availability of pre-application packets for a new owner-builder self-help home development in Templeton, California. The Templeton Self-Help Homeownership development will consist of 33 energy efficient three and four bedroom homes.

Pre-application packets will be available on Friday, April 3, 2009 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Templeton Place Apartments, 1009 Petersen Ranch Road, Templeton. The packets must be picked up by each applicant personally. After April 5th, the pre-application packets can be picked up at Peoples' Self-Help Housing, 3533 Empleo Street, San Luis Obispo from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays).

Rural Development, an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture, will provide below market fixed rate mortgage financing for eligible applicants. In addition low interest, deferred payment secondary financing may be available for income eligible applicants.

To qualify, applicants must fall within predetermined income guidelines, meet all lender requirements, have a good credit and rental history, and agree to work a minimum of forty (40) hours per week for approximately twelve months to construct their home.

In order to meet income eligibility, the total annual gross income per household, adjusted for family size, must meet a minimum threshold to service the loan, and cannot exceed the following maximum amounts:

1 in family: $39,680
5 in family: $61,200
2 in family: $45,280
6 in family: $65,680
3 in family: $50,960
7 in family: $70,240
4 in family: $56,640
8 in family: $74,800
