Peoples' Self-Help Housing Wraps Up
Successful Holiday Campaign
With a Ride on State Street to 'Stuff the Bus'

Local officials "get on board"

Santa Barbara, CA, December 18, 2006—Peoples’ Self-Help Housing’s ‘Stuff the Bus campaign for Peoples’ Kids’ is coming to an exciting close. Thanks to the sponsors of this campaign, the Santa Barbara Police Department, Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District, Community West Bank, Starbucks Coffee Company, and Payless ShoeSource and thanks to the Santa Barbara and Goleta communities, children residing at Peoples’ Self-Help Housing (PSHH) rental complexes will enjoy a happy holiday with new toys, merchant gift cards and Payless ShoeSource gift cards.

To celebrate the generosity of the ‘Stuff the Bus’ sponsors and the community, this Tuesday, December 19th beginning at 8:45 a.m., local dignitaries, representatives from Peoples’ Self-Help Housing and other invited guests will board an MTD bus at MTD headquarters and take a ride up State Street to three of the campaign drop-off locations to “Stuff the Bus” with all of the donated items. The bus ride will end at PSHH rental complex, Ladera Street apartments, with a special event and continental breakfast provided by Starbucks Coffee Company.
