Stuff the Bus

Dear Editor,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Peoples’ Self-Help Housing, the staff, residents, and community members, I would like to extend my utmost gratitude for the generosity of local businesses, government, and civic-minded citizens in their support of our annual Stuff the Bus campaign. Special acknowledgment to our major sponsors Starbucks Coffee Company, S.B. Police Department, Payless Shoesource, Community West Bank, MTD, KEYT, and KRUZ FM.

Additional partners included NuImage Design and Graphix, Brent Winebrenner Photography, Ads On The Wall, Milk and Honey, Marborg Industries, SB YMCA, SB Natural History Museum, Ty Warner Sea Center, Fresco Café at the SB Museum of Art, Oliver and Espig Jewelers, Fess Parker’s Double Tree Resort, and Antioch University.

Because of these donations, we were able to provide more than 800 gifts, 115 local merchant gift cards, and $300 worth of Payless Shoe gift cards to needy children living in our Santa Barbara and Goleta low income housing complexes. For many of our families, these were the only gifts ‘under the tree’ for their children. Thank you for making the holiday season brighter for children in need in our community.
