Peoples' Self-Help Housing Brings Additional Affordable Housing to Downtown
Victoria Street Apartments Break Ground on November 19th
Santa Barbara, CA, November 15, 2004—Peoples' Self-Help Housing (PSHH), a local nonprofit providing home ownership and affordable rental opportunities for low income families since 1970, is holding a groundbreaking ceremony for six new affordable apartments on W. Victoria Street.
Peoples' Self-Help Housing's newest affordable housing complex in Santa Barbara is located at the rear of 210 W. Victoria Street. Other PSHH developments in the city of Santa Barbara include the nearby the Victoria Hotel and Milagro de Ladera Apartments on the Westside. Peoples' Self-Help Housing also owns and manages Dahlia Court Apartments and the Camper Park in Carpinteria, as well as Storke Ranch Apartments in Goleta and the Isla Vista Apartments.
Partners in this project include CSA Architects and Penfield & Smith Engineers. Funding partners include the City of Santa Barbara, Montecito Bank & Trust, and the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara.
These permanently affordable apartments are expected to be completed at the end of 2005.
