VOLUNTEER FOR PEOPLES' SELF-HELP HOUSING

Volunteer spending time with children at Los Adobes de Maria, Santa Maria
Our volunteers are critical for the work we do and we have a myriad of jobs available for them to help us with.
Volunteers assist with our Education Enhancement and youth programs, work at special events and become tutors and mentors for our younger residents. They teach classes in literacy, computer skills, sewing and art. Volunteers chaperone field trips, make visits to home-bound elderly, provide general clerical work and help serve meals to our Victoria Hotel residents.
Volunteers find out about us primarily through referrals and word-of-mouth.
