Director of Marketing and Communication

People's Self-Help Housing, a nationally recognized nonprofit housing and community development company is recruiting for a Director of Marketing and Communication.

In this new position, the successful candidate will report to the President and work closely with the Director of Fund Development. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies and tactics that successfully engage stakeholders in the support of the organization's work. Specifically, event planning and outreach events, PSA's, developing and implementing strategic marketing plan, developing cohesive and consistent collateral, developing and updating social media outlets, overseeing website redesign, etc.

Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's in related field, minimum 5 yrs experience, preferably entailing understanding of low-income housing and/or related initiatives, excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to multi-task and able to adapt swiftly to change.

CASE WORKER

Peoples' Self-Help Housing (PSHHC) seeks a social worker for our Supportive Housing Program (SHP) located in Santa Barbara County (Santa Maria to Goleta). This is a full time position (40 hours per week).

PSHHC is a non-profit organization that manages over 1,200 affordable rental housing units on the Central Coast. The SHP focuses upon homeless placements and/or homeless prevention within PSHHC housing units.

Upon referral the social worker provides client assessments, and develops and oversees case management plans structured to ensure long-term housing success. Emphasis is placed upon collaboration with other community agencies.

Requirements: Masters Degree in psychology, social work or other relevant field; bilingual (English/Spanish) and valid CA Drivers License and access to reliable vehicle. Clinical hours are provided by the Supportive Housing Program Manager who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

HOTEL: LIVE-IN (ON CALL) NIGHT ASSISTANT

We currently have a position available for a Live-In (On call) Night Assistant at the El Patio Hotel - a single room occupancy affordable housing property in downtown Ventura.

You will be provided with your own bedroom, private bathroom, and free utilities. In exchange for housing, utilities and a small stipend, our position requires you to be available for emergencies; being the eyes and ears of the property and occasional other minor duties. This is a very part time position - mainly requiring that you are available for weekend hours (appox. 10 hrs/wk) and emergencies that might occur during the night.

This is a non-smoking facility and due to the Single Room Occupancy requirements, no overnight guests are allowed and no alcohol is allowed on the premises.

Qualified applicants must be able to relate well with differing personalities.
